The key to writing is energy.

Energy is the force behind the words, the desire to create something that has never before existed. Kindled by desire, energy is the spirit and fire of fiction & creative nonfiction. Go with your energy and write micro memoirs, micro fiction, short stories, novels, memoirs. Take projects from idea to finished works. Learn the fundamentals or hone your craft. Small classes. Read aloud and get feedback and support at every session. Since the publication of Roberta Allen's first writing guide, FAST FICTION in 1997, and her latest guides, THE PLAYFUL WAY TO SERIOUS WRITING and THE PLAYFUL WAY TO KNOWING YOURSELF, thousands of students, writers, and teachers have used her innovative method with great success.
